Bounce's street dance version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest makes a dynamic comeback to London's Peacock Theatre.
Insane in the Brain at the Peacock Theatre
Bounce returns to London's Peacock Theatre with Insane in the Brain, a street dance interpretation of Ken Kesey's classic novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
The dance company's innovative production enjoyed a hit run on its UK tour last spring. Now the troupe is back in London for a final showdown.
About Insane in the Brain
Prison inmate RP McMurphy is transferred to the confines of a psychiatric hospital.
Breakdance brings a sense of freedom and a chance to rebel against the iron rule of Nurse Ratched – who happens to be a ballet fan.
The production uses a blend of choreography, film and imaginative set design (look out for the bungee-jumping breakdancers) to create a show that's funny, touching and energetic.
The Soundtrack: Missy Elliot and Dizzee Rascal

The soundtrack to Insane in the Brain features a vibrant selection of contemporary acts including:
- Cypress Hill – whose hip-hop hit "Insane in the Brain" lends the show its name
- Missy Elliot
- Dizzee Rascal
- Gotan Project
- David Holmes
About Bounce
Bounce was formed in late 1997 by a group of top Swedish street dancers. The troupe came together to explore different styles of street dancing, such as breaking, locking, popping, boogaloo and new school.
The group use elements of dance as diverse as lindy hop and tap in their choreography and say they are not afraid of using any style to create new and surprising shows.
