Charlie Kaufman is one of the most acclaimed, cutting edge film-makers in the world. He is perhaps best known for writing Being John Malkovich. Adaptation is perhaps his most sofisticated effort, telling,in minute, hillarious psychological detail, the story of Kaufman himself, as he tries to adapt a particularly tricky book for the screen.
