Its release delayed for a year by puzzled Hammer executives, this riveting nuclear-angst thriller centres on an American visitor encountering private violence at the hands of teddy boys in the streets of Weymouth and state violence at a secret government research station. Set in 'the age of senseless violence', it's here screening with several of Losey's recently rediscovered early 60s TV commercials.
