Chandler (1888-1959) was one of the most important and influential American crime-fiction authors. His novels, such as The Big Sleep, were adapted into film noir classics and his screenplays for films such as Double Indemnity had a profound effect on the development of crime movies. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of his passing, Adrian Wootton (Director of Crime Scene & CEO of Film London) will present this illustrated talk (c100min), featuring film and audio clips and chronicling his extraordinary life and career.
