Vashti Bunyan: From Here to Before + Q&A

A film about UK singer songwriter Vashti Bunyan, dubbed 'The Godmother of Freak Folk'. Her obscurity ended with the rediscovery in 2000 of her lost classic 1970 album 'Just Another Diamond Day' and her subsequent reintroduction into a previously unknown mainstream.The film features rare interviews with Andrew Loog Oldham, Max Richter, Devendra Banhart and Adem Ilhan, who discuss the huge influence Bunyan's music has had on their own work. The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with the director, and a live folk set from The Memory Band.
