Changeling

Based on a true story set in Los Angles in 1928 where Jolie's nine year old son vanishes without trace. Five months later the LAPD under political pressure to solve more crimes present her with a boy who claims to be her son. He isn't and Jolie starts making waves only to find herself being locked up in a psychiatric ward. A church minister, John Malkovich, takes up her case, and becomes one of the few honest cops prepared to pursue his own investigation into a serial killer.
