The Good The Bad + The Gadsdens + Will And The People

The Good The Bad: They're the best new band you've never heard of. Three desperados, bringing the finest New School Surf & Flamenco to people who don't yet know how badly they need it. In fact, their lip-trembling, bone-rattling, hip-shaking dirty cool has been increasing the birth-rate in Denmark by the day ever since their own explosive conception just one year ago. The Gadsdens: The Gadsdens don't quite fit. They almost do, but they're slightly the wrong shape to properly fit into the pop cylinder. Shuffling together elements of blue-eyed soul, infectious hooks, rhythmic piano lines, and the instantly loveable vocals of Jody Gadsden they deal out songs of awkward beauty. They don't look pop either, peddling an indie scruffy chic that's more Hoxton than West End. Not that they're in any way, shape or form a fashion band unless, of course fashion means striking out from the pack with your own darning sense of style and imagination. Because that's the Gadsdens all over: unique and quite apart from anything else you'll hear. Will And The People: Well....Will has been writing songs for a while and recently has been blessed with a nuclear band from another dimension called "The People"... These "People" create something called "serious groove, loosey goosey style" which compliments hugely every single potentially popular song will has written more than he could have possibly hoped for. Now. if you get a chance to swing down to a live show, buy yourself a drink.... have another..... and see how long it takes before you are shamelessly joining in with our fun on the centre of the dancefloor. Recently signed to RCA and definitely an act to check out before they explode. Golden Age: Although the comparisons with such luminaries as The Smiths and Joy Division will abound, Golden Age hold their own with subtle hooks and gentle melodies that aren't steeped only in misery - there's joy in the minors, with lush tones that sound more like The Strokes that any stroking egos.
