Frederick Ashtons three-act ballet 'Ondine' was famously created for Margot Fonteyn and Michael Soames. The storyline is of a playful and mischevious water sprite who falls in love with a mortal with tragic consequences. Highlights include the famous shadow dance in Act 1 and a dramatic shipwreck in Act 2.
