The Robot Zoo Comes to London

This family exhibition, which is visiting London for the first time, consists of eight larger than life-size robot animals and 11 interactive displays, which allow visitors to explore animal life in more depth.
Robots Eat, Swim, Walk and Fly at the Horniman
Using a clever mix of pipes, pistons, hydraulics, lighting and sound, these robotic figures offer an understanding of how these animals move, eat and survive in the wild.

Children and adults alike will marvel at the unique adaptations to their surroundings made by the eight very different animals, which are:
- Chameleon
- Giant squid
- Rhinoceros
- Giraffe
- Grasshopper
- Platypus
- House fly
- Bat
Robotic Animals at the Horniman Museum

The Robot Zoo comes to London's Horniman Museum – which has a strong Natural History focus – as part of 2009's celebration of Charles Darwin's bicentenary.
Inquiring minds will delight in this new twist on appreciating the natural world through an innovative use of modern technology.
