A two-day symposium, in which the exhibition's curator Karen Hearn is joined by world-renowned scholars and curators to present new thinking and research on van Dyck's work. It considers his impact on and legacy in British art and culture, the identity he created for the aristocracy and representations of courts in other cultures.
