Ben Hur Live at The O2
This autumn, The O2 in London presents the first-ever performance of Ben Hur Live, a stage adaptation of the classic tale.
Turning the clocks back 2000 years, the production will include an astonishing cast of 400 performers and 100 animals, including horses, camels, donkeys, chickens, falcons and eagles.
Ben Hur's Famous Chariot Scene Live in London

The highlight of the show, the famous chariot scene, features five "quadrigas" (or chariots) racing around the arena floor pulled by specially trained horses.
Created by German producer Franz Abraham, Ben Hur Live has been in development for 15 years. Its opening coincides with the 50th anniversary of the 1959 film version starring Charlton Heston.
Music and Special Effects in Ben Hur

The symphonic soundtrack to Ben Hur Live is provided by Hollywood composer Klaus Badelt, who worked on Pirates Of The Caribbean, Gladiator and Hannibal.
An impressive range of light, sound, water, wind and pyrotechnic effects help recreate the atmosphere and feel of an ancient arena.
The Story of Ben Hur
Ben Hur Live is based on the 1880 novel Ben Hur – A Tale Of Christ by Lew Wallace.
The classic tale portrays the life of the Jewish prince Judah Ben Hur in the beginning of the 1st century.
Unjustly condemned for an alleged assassination attempt on the Roman governor, the prince must overcome his new position as a gallery slave to seek revenge.
