In Memoriam: Remembering the Great War

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Armistice, Imperial War Museum London is producing this new exhibition based upon the personal stories of men, women and children. In Memoriam will look at the experiences of the frontline soldier, sailor and airman; the munitions worker and the nurse; the prisoner of war and the internee; the artist and the writer; the disabled and the shell-shocked; the widow and the orphan. Their stories will be told through personal objects, which include a bierstein presented to the captain of the winning British football team during the Christmas Truce match of 1914, and a rosebud from the wreath that lay on the coffin of the Unknown Warrior six years later.
Facilities: Guide dogs permitted, Ramp/level access, Toilets for disabled visitors
