London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay

The Paralympic Torch Relay comes to London for the start of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

The London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay begins on 24 August with the lighting of England's flame in London.

Flames will also be lit in Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh. Each city will host evening celebrations called Flame Festivals.

The four flames will then be taken to Stoke Mandeville, the home of the Paralympic movement, where they will be combined to create the Paralympic Flame.

Later that evening, there will be a 24-hour Torch Relay from Stoke Mandeville to the Olympic Stadium for the start of the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
