The Peter Pan Cup at Serpentine Swimming Club

Annual Christmas Day event dating back to 1864, and open to qualifying members of the Serpentine Swimming Club. Named after author J. M. Barrie, who awarded the Peter Pan Cup to the winner of the race in 1904, this is a 100 yard (91.4 m) competition, held in the (usually freezing) waters of Hyde Park's Serpentine lake.
