Diamond Jubilee Carriage Procession

Take to the streets to watch The Queen's Diamond Jubilee carriage procession from Westminster Hall to Buckingham Palace, followed by an RAF Flypast and a rifle salute from the Queen’s Guard.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Weekend

The Queen is the only monarch other than Queen Victoria to serve 60 years on the British throne. Londoners and visitors will celebrate this remarkable achievement during a four-day national holiday in June.

Following the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, receptions at City venues and a Livery lunch at Westminster Hall, a carriage procession will convey the Royal party to Buckingham Palace.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales will all participate in the procession. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will be transported in the 1902 State Landau in which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rode after their wedding last April.

Carriage Procession Route

There’ll be plenty of room for spectators along the historic route, which passes landmarks such as Big Ben, Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square and Admiralty Arch.

The route offers sounds as well as sights: military bands will be ranged along the route and  there’ll also be a 60 gun salute from the King’s Troop as the procession goes by.

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Flypast and Feu De Joie

After their arrival at Buckingham Palace, the Royal Family will appear on the balcony to watch an RAF Flypast and a Feu De Joie – a celebratory cascade of rifle fire from The Queen's Guard. This marks the end of the spectacular Diamond Jubilee weekend celebrations.

Tickets to the Procession

Ten thousand free tickets are available to watch the procession and flypast from the grandstand outside Buckingham Palace.

You'll also be able to see the rest of the day's action on big screens. Find out how to enter the ticket ballot at  www.jubilee5june.co.uk/. The ballot closes on 20 April 2012.
