Enter the dark heart of 19th-century revenge, as Sodenheim's tale of bloody barbarism and terrible pie fillings makes a welcome return to the West End stage. Staring Michael Ball as the eponymous anti-hero, and Imelda Staunton as the loyal Mrs. Lovett, this production received roundly positive reviews when it premiered at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 2011, and now comes to the Adelphi Theatre for an extended run of razors and bloodletting! After years of false imprisonment, Sweeney Todd returns to London, and sets out to avenge the wrongs done to him and his family, by the lecherous Judge Turpin.
