Mrs Brown Rides Again, written by and starring Brendan O’Carroll as his typical Dublin Mammy character, heads across the UK to some of the country’s biggest arenas. The 'Mrs Brown’s Boys' TV series made its debut on BBC One in February 2011 and proved an automatic ratings smash for Mrs Agnes Brown, so much so that Auntie Beeb commissioned a second series. Brendan O’Carroll has attributed his TV series’ success to the economic climate and to the British audience’s yearning for better times.
