The Olympic Journey at London's Royal Opera House

The Royal Opera House is teaming up with the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, to present this free exhibition for the duration of the London Olympic Games.

Using unique artefacts, graphics, film and audio from the Olympic Museum, The Olympic Story takes us from ancient Greece through to the vision of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the man behind the modern Olympics.

Olympic Museum in London 2012

The Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the headquarters of the Olympic movement, is currently closed for renovations, allowing the Royal Opera House unprecedented access to its collections.

The Olympic Journey: The Story of the Games is part of the London 2012 Festival, a nationwide cultural and artistic celebration which is the culmination of the Cultural Olympiad.
