The World Shakespeare Festival is a collaboration between many partners, both in London, and in the rest of the UK.
In London, the festival is spread across many exciting institutions. Here's a guide to what's on where:
- King Lear (31 Aug-3 Nov) at the Almeida Theatre
- Cymbeline (29 May-2 Jun) and Desdemona (Jul 2012) at the Barbican
- Staging the World (19 Jul-25 Nov) at the British Museum
- Timon of Athens (Jul 2012) at the National Theatre
- A whole RSC season at the Roundhouse from May to July
- Globe to Globe at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre (21 Apr-9 Jun)
- Macbeth: Leila and Ben – A Bloody History (4-7 Jul), The Rest is Silence (12-23 Jun) and Romeo and Juliet in Baghdad (28-30 Jun) as part of LIFT at the Riverside Studios
- In A Pickle (19-23 Jun) at Stratford Circus
The World Shakespeare Festival will showcase the best of UK and International creative talent and harness the creativity of young people, emerging artists and amateur companies.
