Celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee along the Thames as hundreds of boats decked out in Union Jack flags float up the river.
Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant
See one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the River Thames, as London celebrates The Queen's 60th year as the reigning monarch.
Up to 1,000 boats will take part in the pageant, including those used by the armed forces and emergency services, as well as historic boats, narrow boats and man-powered craft.
Her Majesty The Queen will be aboard The Spirit of Chartwell, a traditional Royal Barge decorated in the style of a grand Pullman railway carriage. The Royal vessels will join the flotilla at 3pm, directly behind the man-powered section, and the Royal Barge will halt beside HMS President at 4.15pm to watch the rest of the pageant go past.
Each craft will be decorated with streamers and Union Jack flags, and the passenger boats will carry up to 20,000 members of the public. The flotilla will be preceded by a floating belfry, which will be chiming for the length of the route. Ten musical barges will also accompany the different sections of the flotilla, carrying a range of performers such as the Herald Fanfare Trumpeters and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
On the eastern side of Tower Bridge, ships too large to pass underneath will assemble to form the Avenue of Sail. More than 60 historic and stunning boats will line both banks, and they will be in place from 30 May for public viewing.
Where to Watch the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant
Watch the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant for free along the River Thames. There will be up to 50 big screens along the route so wherever you're standing, you will see the flotilla!
The pageant starts at Battersea Bridge at 2.25 pm and finishes at Tower Bridge between 5pm and 6pm. It will take approximately 75 minutes for the flotilla to pass any given point.
Battersea, Chelsea, Vauxhall, Waterloo and London bridges will all be open to the public, and big screens will be dotted along the riverside.
Alternatively, you can watch from Battersea Park, where the Diamond Jubilee Festival will offer music, traditional activities and Jubilee-themed entertainment.
Central London will be very busy during the celebrations. Plan your journey in advance at www.tfl.gov.uk/diamondjubilee
