Seminal American pop-punk band Blink-182 formed in 1992 in California. The band's 1999 album Enema of the State launched them into the mainstream, with singles such as All the Small Things and What's My Age Again receiving significant radio and MTV airtime. By 2003 the band had evolved and matured with the release of the album Blink-182, which saw the trio take a more experimental approach to their music. Amid tension and frustration, Blink went on hiatus in 2005, only to return four years later with plans for new material and a huge tour.
