Q: Where do you think serves the best London breakfast?
A:
Giraffe. There's a
Giraffe in Richmond where I often eat breakfast. I like the Mexican dish Ranch Style Eggs Tostada with eggs.
Q: What's the best party you've been to in London?
A: Davina McCalls' 40th birthday. She had it in a private members club on Regent's Street. The Cuban Brothers played there. Graham Norton was there too and all of the Big Brother crew members.
Q: What's the most you've ever spent on a night out in London?
A: About £800 one birthday. I took some friends out to the restaurant that used to be in the BT Tower. Then we went clubbing at
The Aquarium. There's a pool in the club. I stripped off and went for a dip but everyone was so shocked at my hairy back that I had to put my clothes back on and return to the dancefloor!
Q: What's the best play, gig or comedy act you've been to in London recently?
A: The Mighty Boosh. I saw them at the Secret Policeman's Ball. They're really funny.
Q: What's your favourite London icon?
A: The Inner Circle in
Regent's Park. If you go there on a weekday afternoon it's not too crowded. It's a really tranquil place to have lunch.
Q: Where do you think's the most romantic place in London?
A: The Embankment. Walking along there on a cool, crisp winter's night is very romantic. You get some wonderful views of London.
Q: What's your favourite shop in London?
I'm not a big shopper but I guess Next is a place I shop at a lot. The clothes fit me and they always have everything I need.
Q: What is your top tip for visitors?
A: Take a boat ride up the Thames and then visit
Hampton Court Palace. It's beautiful. The grounds are stunning. I go there about once a month. I always think I'm going to be really cultural but I usually just end up in the café drinking lattes.
Q: What's your favourite hidden gem in London?
A: There's a little area in
Richmond Park called the Isabella Plantation. It's filled with plants and flowers. Great for plant lovers.
Q: What's the strangest thing you've ever seen in London?
A: I saw a beggar with a sign that said "famished". I thought there's no point in giving him a quid, he'll only go and waste it on a thesaurus!
Q: If you were Mayor for the day what would you do?
A: I would cancel the congestion charge and then pay myself back around £6,000 in fines.
Q: If you were invisible for the day where would you go?
A: I would go to
Buckingham Palace. I met Prince Charles at a charity gig. He said he liked my impressions and that the Queen was pretty good at impressions herself. I'd like to sneak into the palace and see her Tommy Cooper impression.
Q: If you could go back to any period in London's history when would it be?
A: Henry the VIII period. I love that period. That's why I love Hampton Court Palace. The Tudors really knew how to eat.
Q: What do you miss most when you're away from London?
A: The football results. I was away from London once and I heard the results on the radio. They just gave the scores though and not the team names. It was so frustrating. I support
Chelsea. I'm a true West London boy!
