In fact, at 20x26 metres, the BFI IMAX cinema screen is the biggest in the UK and it offers an eye-opening film experience.

IMAX: Technologically Advanced

The state-of-the-art BFI IMAX cinema comes with a top quality digital surround-sound system. Gone are the days of just sitting back and watching a film, with IMAX you'll feel as though you're taking part in the action. The rows of comfy seats rise at a steep angle guaranteeing a clear view of the screen.

3D: Another Dimension

The 3D films are well worth experiencing. Don the special glasses provided and the images will leap off the screen. You won't be able to stop yourself reaching out to try and touch them!

Among programme favourites is Under the Sea 3D. This film allows you to enjoy all the thrills of scuba diving from the safety of your seat. Plunge into the ocean depths and get up close and personal with tropical fish and marine creatures. Watch out for the sharks though...
