Southern American rock'n'roll band who are most famous for their redneck anthem 'Sweet Home Alabama'. Three members of the band, including lead singer and songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, infamously died in a plane crash in 1977. The band reformed in 1987 with Ronnie's brother Johnny taking over singing duties, and they continue to record and tour.

After forming in Bristol in 1988, Massive Attack have become one of the most influential bands of all time and revolutionised electronica music. The innovative trip hop act first established themselves in the UK charts with their 'Blue Lines' album in 1991 and since then have followed up with criticially acclaimed albums such as 'Protection' and 'Mezzaine', which hosted arguably their finest piece of work 'Teardrop'.

Afetr adopting a more 'pop' sound the band released their debut EP Milkmaid Grand Army in 2001. Nowadays their work is more Fleetwood Mac than Herbie Hancock.
