Aar’s musical approach, which blends the Somali sound with styles from all over the Horn of Africa, gives his music widespread appeal, and coupled with the extremely high standard of musicianship within the band there's no stopping them.

    A concert from a new choir conducted by Adam Assen. Formed in May, the choir sing a variety of styles including modern classical, African and gospel music. They have both new and experienced members who enjoy the social aspects of this choir as much as the singing, with rehearsals held in pub music venue the Grey Horse. Singers arrive with a drink in hand but concentrate on their rehearsals, accompanied by pianist Stuart Thompson.
