Ho Ho Ho! Christmas comes early to Sandown Park for Tingle Creek Day. Alongside top quality racing, which features the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase, there will be plenty of entertainment to get racegoers into the festive mood. As an extra special treat, this year a life size Polar Bear puppet will be in the Esher Hall during the afternoon and childhood favourites from the popular Raymond Briggs books, Father Christmas and The Snowman, will be bringing even more Christmas merriment to the day. At the end of the day, the 'New London Singers', one of London's premier vocal ensembles and conducted by the legendary Ivor Setterfield, will perform a range of festive carols.

This challenging race is run over two miles, including eight hurdles, and always attracts top-flight hurdlers in a fiercely fought contest. The event is also your chance to begin those New Year resolutions after all that Christmas excess, with experts on hand to offer advice on how you can get fi tter and healthier in 2010.

Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers) are a French-Canadian company who have pioneered a whole new brand of circus. Their show Traces was a runaway hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, and now it comes to London for the very first time. "So thrilling, it will surely make an entire generation run away and join the circus" The Guardian. Combining awe-inspiring circus training with infectious urban energy, four men and one woman give dazzling, gravity defying displays of skill, balancing casually on each other's heads, or tumbling through hoops and leaping spectacularly up giant poles without using their hands.
