Traces
Special event27 February 2010
New Wimbledon Theatre SW19 1QG[map]
Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers) are a French-Canadian company who have pioneered a whole new brand of circus. Their show Traces was a runaway hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, and now it comes to London for the very first time. "So thrilling, it will surely make an entire generation run away and join the circus" The Guardian. Combining awe-inspiring circus training with infectious urban energy, four men and one woman give dazzling, gravity defying displays of skill, balancing casually on each other's heads, or tumbling through hoops and leaping spectacularly up giant poles without using their hands.

Varekai
From

(USD33.21)Special event6 January 2010 to 24 January 2010
Royal Albert Hall SW7 2AP[map]
Varekai is a world located deep within a forest at the summit of a volcano, where magic is possible. The story of Varekai begins when a solitary young man falls from the sky. Parachuted into the shadows of the forest, a kaleidoscopic world populated by fantastical creatures, this young man sets off on an adventure both absurd and extraordinary. On this day at the edge of time, in this place of all possibilities, begins an inspired incantation to life rediscovered. The word Varekai means 'wherever' in the Romany language of the gypsies, and this production fittingly pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to the infinite passion of those whose quest takes them along the path that leads to Varekai.
