    The 12:08 refers to the time that the announcement of Ceausescu's deposition was made on Romanian national television on 22 December 1989, and hence the moment that revolution freed Romania from dictatorship and communist rule. Jderescu, a producer at the impoverished local television channel is looking for a talk show discussing how locals contributed to the revolution. After various panellists cry off, Jderescu is left a couple of less than ideal guests. What follows, in this Cannes Camera d'Or-winning film, is a comic farce in the Eastern European tradition.

    17th Photograph is a documentary about the late Kurdish intellectual and writer, Mehmed Uzun, who wrote exclusively in the Kurdish language that has continued to be banned by Turkish authorities for decades. In his writings, Uzun helped to reveal and promote the richness of Kurdish language. 17th Photograph is based upon testimonies of many people who knew about Uzun’s life starting from his childhood in the town of Siverek, his prison life in Diyarbakir, and his escape to Syria, South Kurdistan (Iraq) and finally Sweden where he ended up as refugee. Q&A with Zozan Uzun wife of the late Mehmed Uzun.
