On Christmas Eve, 1993, a nineteen-year-old university student entered a Viennese bank and killed three people before turning the gun on himself. Haneke's film depicts the random, or fateful, convergence of strangers that day at the bank as a puzzle that will remain unresolved, mysterious, and deeply disturbing.

Accendo Singers are a new choir from Kingston Upon Thames, conducted by Adam Assen. Formed in May, the choir sing a variety of styles including modern classical, African and gospel music. The Accendo Singers have both new and experienced members who enjoy the social aspects of this choir as much as the singing, with rehearsals held in pub music venue the Grey Horse. Singers arrive with a drink in hand but concentrate on their rehearsals, accompanied by pianist Stuart Thompson.

Two generations after the atrocities of WWII, his task is to look after a former inmate who now gives lectures on his time in the camp. The film poses the question of how to reconcile the past with the present to a new generation and is based on director, Robert Thalheim's, past experiences.

Amici is a relatively new a cappella chamber choir from Suffolk making big waves. Formed in 2006 by director Adrian Knott, the choir have performed across East Anglia as well as South West France. Their repertoire is very broad - everything from 19th-century part songs to spirituals and jazz - but with a particular focus on Renaissance madrigals and religious music, including composers such as Byrd, Tomkins, Padilla, Lassus, Gibbons, Josquin and Monteverdi.

Perhaps the greatest dance musical, An American in Paris stars Gene Kelly as a young artist who finds love on the Left Bank. As well as the George Gershwin songs and score, including the blissful S'Wonderful, the film is memorable for its climactic ballet sequence inspired by the work of Henri Rousseau, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Raoul Dufy, Maurice Utrillo, Vincent Van Gogh, Edouard Manet and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. An American in Paris won six Academy Awards including Best Film.

From paintings and photographs to matchstick models and soap sculptures, this exhibition features extraordinary new creations by prisoners, high security patients and immigration detainees from across the UK. The work is from the 6,000 entries to the annual Koestler Awards, founded in 1962 by writer Arthur Koestler. This year's exhibition is the second year of a partnership with Southbank Centre and is curated through a special educational project by current inmates of two women's prisons.

A 37 metre long artwork depicting a coloured alternate reality created by Peter McDonald. It is displayed along 'The Cut' and down Blackfriars Road and plays with the idea of transforming a public space into a place for art. McDonald, who won the John Moores Contemporary Painting Prize in 2008, has been artist-in-residence at the station since early this year.
