A Grammy-nominated solo artist from Havering, London. A classically trained musician, Heap taught herself music engineering, sequencing, production and sampling whilst at boarding school. After a moderatley successful solo record, Heap formed the electronic-pop duo Frou Frou in 2001. After one album and an extensive tour the duo disbanded in 2003. Heap went on to write and record 2005's 'Speak For Yourself', which included tracks that featured in popular teen drama The OC,a factor that helped Heap gain a firm footing in the mainstream music world.

An electro-pop duo from Brixton consiting of singer Elly Jackson and synth-playing co-producer Ben Langmaid. Inspired by 80s synthpop acts such as Depeche Mode and The Human League, La Roux formed in 2008 and by May 2009 had burst into the mainstream with their hit single 'In For the Kill'. After a support slot on Lily Allen's UK tour, festival appearances, and North American dates, La Roux polished off a successful year with a Mercury nomination and a UK headlining tour.
