The Jazz Cafe London NW1 7PG[map]

Concert and after-party on the launch of the compilation Polish Funk 4. The concert at London Jazz Cafe will bring together the best Polish instrumentalists of the young generation, directed by Janek Smoczyński. The Big Band will play newly arranged versions of 1970s tunes by the most influential Polish musicians of the period: Jerzy Milian, the Novi Singers, Wojciech Karolak. Polish Funk 4 is the last compilation in a series presenting unknown or previously unreleased tunes of the 1970s. After live show we are proud to present special set by DJ Format.

DJ Perry Louis, one of the longest resident DJs at the Jazz Cafe, will take to the decks spinning Jazz Cafe's and his own personal party faves from the 70s, 80s, 90s and Noughties. You can expect to hear Turn Me Loose (long Version) by Roy Ayers, Only So Much Oil in the Ground by Tower of Power, Movin by Brass Contruction, Stone to the Bone by James Brown, and of course All I do, 12', by Stevie Wonder.
