The Camden Lock Tavern NW1 8AJ[map]
This Sporting Life is one of the longest standing nights at Lock Tavern's slightly fatter little sister of a pub Sixty Million Postcards in sunny Bournemouth. Jazz as it used to be: played fast and louche! Delicious echoes of Al Bowlly, the Ink Spots, Fats Waller and Harlem Swing with a dangerous hint of Gypsy Jazz all rolled into one hot menagerie of crooning, tap dance, old world suave, rakish banter and correspondent shoes.. Arthur Foxaque, 'The Caustic Crooner' and notorious dandy, creates an atmosphere harking back to prohibition parties and silver screen romances.
