Things to Do in London in June 2016

Visit London in June to enjoy some of the capital's most famous events, including Trooping the Colour and Wimbledon.

June is an ideal time to visit London, with warm weather and plenty of events and activities to enjoy. It's a good time of year to make the most of London's beautiful parks, or to visit a pub with a beer garden and enjoy a drink outside.

June Events

The UK goes tennis mad for the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships. Tickets always sell out in advance but more are released each day. If you're prepared to queue, you might get to sample strawberries and cream in the famous grounds, or even see some action on court.

London also celebrates the Queen's official birthday in June, with Trooping the Colour, a spectacular military parade through London. Head to The Mall to enjoy all the pomp and pageantry.

Foodies can take a whirlwind tour of London's restaurant scene at the Taste of London festival. Some of London's top chefs and restaurants will be serving up delicious food and doing cooking demonstrations in Regent's Park.

Experience a thrilling weekend of polo at London's premier polo event, Chesterton Humberts Polo in the Park. You can also enjoy food, champagne and luxury shopping, along with the main event.

See performers from around the world at the Greenwich+Docklands International Festival. This free festival features theatre, dance and performance in public spaces all over Greenwich.

London's Pride festival, a vibrant celebration of the capital's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, is held in June this year.
