Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley

This is my third visit to Marcus Wareing at the Berkeley (formerly Petrus). On this occasion the service seemed a little slower than normal but as always the staff were friendly and courteous. The food never disappoints. We had the tasting menu and each dish was a carefully crafted fusion of flavours. It took quite a long time to get through it all and we were quite full at the end! It is pricey, but you have to consider the amount of work that goes into the preparation. Overall a lovely evening

marcus wareing at the berkeley - it was a birthday surprise lunch for my other half, and it did not disappoint. discreet and smooth service, a small but well-judged selection of starters, main courses and desserts that was delicious and presented in an unpretentious way. it was food that was not only a delight on the palate but visually great on the eye, but in an understated way rather than being overfussy. highlight was meeting marcus himself and taken on a tour of the kitchen by the maitre'd.
