Pearl Restaurant

I took my girlfriend to Pearl at Renaissance for her birthday. I've been to a few Michelin starred restaurants. We had the tasting menu with wine matched to each course and it was faultless. In terms of service the staff we wonderfully and genuinely obliging although I do prefer to be served by one waiter consistently. The bill was around £350 for two including a £80 bottle of wine before the meal. Apparently Perl has been voted the most romantic restaurant in London, it did the job :-)

We were really impressed with the Perl Restaurant. We had a set menu for 35 pounds for 3 courses including glass of wine and found it great value for money. We were generously offered two amuse-gueule type of things in the beginning and petit-fours (whatever is French spelling of those) in the end. The food was inventive enough not to bore, but not overcomplicated to confuse. Decor is very sober and a bit too reserved for my taste. Otherwise it was very satisfying experience.
