DJ Bars
The London bar scene is as diverse as the city's population. With such a huge variety on offer, you're sure to find somewhere to suit you. Here are a few of London’s finest to get you started…
Fluid
Just down the road from the super club Fabric, Fluid has not changed its style for years, yet still remains one of the coolest bars in the city. The comfortable space has a retro-Japanese theme and serves good cocktails and nibbles such as sushi, sashimi, tempura and gyoza. DJs play on the lower ground floor where the music policy is usually on a house and electro tip.
The Social
The Heavenly Records label set up The Social in 1999. They wanted an outlet for their music and a place where people could "sit back and relax" while listening to great tunes. The two-floored space has a mini dancefloor and drinks are impressively reasonable. The Salmon & Compasses
Although it may sound like a traditional pub, the Salmon & Compasses is a modern DJ bar which boasts a large selection of tipples. The DJ roster alternates between a selection of underground house and hip hop.Plan B
One of South London's finest, this Brixton bar is always packed and it welcomes an eclectic line-up of DJs through its doors. Visit Plan B's legendary Friday night Fidgit and you'll find a lively crowd soaking up international soul, funk, old skool hip hop and more.
Consistently fashionable amongst West London socialites, Cherry Jam is a dimly lit basement bar that has been visited by a host of famous DJs and musicians. Visit on any night of the week for impressive sounds and a marvellous cocktail menu.Medicine Bar
Set over three levels, the Medicine Bar is an ultra sleek space with an upstairs bar for lounging and a small club in the basement. At weekends you'll find everything from funky house to liquid drum and bass on the dancefloor. The Dogstar
One of London’s original DJ bars, The Dogstar has been setting the standard for London ever since the concept was created. This hip hangout, arranged over three floors, also serves up some interesting Mexican street food.
Aquum

The newest addition to Clapham's bar scene is a restaurant by day and transforms into a stylish cocktail bar at night. Sample the extensive cocktail menu under a huge sparkly chandelier and dance to top DJs. Make your way round the club's three floors, and if you're lucky, into the VIP area.
