Morgan M restaurant has relocated from its Islington home, leaving locals there devastated, but workers and residents of Barbican jumping for joy. It is that rare thing – a cosy neighbourhood restaurant with a world class chef and outstanding French cuisine. Chef Morgan Meunier has designed a menu that encompasses both classic French techniques as well as more modern British ones, and the very best seasonal ingredients, exemplified by dishes like crayfish and lobster cannelloni with tarragon, Jerusalem artichoke soubise and shellfish cappuccino; or chicory tarte tatin with girolle veloute and parsley root puree. Diners can choose from an a la carte menu, or a six course seasonal menu with an option to include matched wines. Vegetarians are well catered for here, especially for a French restaurant; the six course menu is also available in a vegetarian version called ‘From the Garden’.

A very enjoyable meal! The service was attentive, and while the downstairs room felt a bit lacking in something we had a very good experience. Every dish on the winter tasting menu provided exciting textures and flavours - will attend again.
Morgan M London Love love love Morgan M! The Islington restaurant was always our choice for birhdays, anniversaries and a recent dinner in the attractive new premises in the City keeps up the superlative standards of comfort, welcoming attentive service, and what is surely the best food in London. The full menu- vegetarian option available-and the option of a glass of wine to complement each course works beautifully. Not cheap but superb value for money. Heartily recommended.
Wonderful tasting menu with wine flight and excellent service. There is even a tasting menu for vegetarians which was also excellent. Definitely going back.
Morgan M was as fabulous as always. My wife and I are one of the many couples deeply mourning Morgan's move from Islington. Last night tried the new location and found as fun as ever. Well done on the move and maintaining the feel of the previous location.
Delicious Lunch. We were in a bit of rush but plan to return and try again.
