Muhib Indian Cuisine

About Muhib Indian Cuisine

It can be difficult to stand out when you’re surrounded by others offering something very similar indeed but Muhib Indian Cuisine manages to do just that - making itself a must try on the restaurant heavy Brick Lane in East London. Like many other restaurants on this infamous street, Muhib Indian Cuisine has its roots in Bangladesh, specifically the northern region close to Assam. But although Muhib’s menu might have began in Bangladesh, it certainly doesn’t end there. In fact, the comprehensive selection ranges from excellent biryanis to masalas and beyond, taking in the best of flavours from the Subcontinent. Clean and classically decorated, Muhib’s dining room is comfortable and unfussy, painted in yellow and cream and featuring simple furnishings. Service meanwhile is efficient and polite, the staff knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. Booking in advance is essential, especially at weekends as Muhib is extremely popular both with locals and tourists seeking out the best of Brick Lane.

Amongst the chaos of Christmas parties in town, Muhib on Brick lane was well organised and efficient. We were a party of nine, the meal arrived fairly quickly and we were all served at the same time. The food desreved more time and attention than we were able to give; it was very tasty and everyone praised their chosen dishes. Will certainly return to share and savour the dishes at leisure.

Had a great meal on a Wednesday lunch time. The place was initially empty and for some time, more to do with the fact that Brick Lane is not busy at this time. As a result, difficult to judge the ambience. But thankfully, the food was certainly something to enjoy and recommend. My colleague and I both had variations of Biriyani, and were awesome. Check it out.
