China City restaurant a few steps from London’s on-the-go Leicester Square is a bright, shining palace of classic Chinese cuisine. This in-town branch of the hit China City in Colindale arrives with the same high standards of cuisine and service. The dining space is sleek and modern in tones of white, neutral and royal red and there’s plenty of party space if that’s your fancy. Dim sum is available every day until five pm when the vast a la carte menu comes into its own, featuring signature dish The Steamboat, a sort of Chinese Fondue in nine varieties (pre-book for Friday and Saturday evenings). The set menu is terrific value, too.

Mixed starter size small but food tasted good
China city is an above average chinese restaurant The staff don't speak much English But on the positive side it does English traditional Chinese wellmat a reasonable price
Was pleased to find a soho chinese on top able, however China City was not worth booking. Went for the set meal and was disappointed in all starters and service was very poor with waiter on his mobile more. Main courses were the saving grace of the meal.
China City, London. Good, quick service. Food was reasonable but portions VERY small and I woke up in the night feeling very hungry! Also, many of the dishes arrived almost cold from the kitchen (probably because we were a large group). Dim sum excellent and I see from their website that they have a 15 per cent discount on dim sum at the moment. If I go again with large group I would stick to set menu as probably more filling than ordering separate dishes and have a few dim sums.
Great service, good food.
