About West End Kitchen
Go back in time at London restaurant The West End Kitchen, a retro dining room dating back to 1958, where value for money and quality of food are central to the owner’s plans. Owner John has been serving up his own brand of classic British and Italian food since the 1970s, he and his restaurant going from strength to strength ever since, serving up hearty home-cooked food from morning ‘til night in a relaxed atmosphere a million miles away from the style-over substance bars and rowdy clubs in the area. With stripped wood booths providing seating and a simple, deep red and white décor complete with obligatory posters for West End shows on the walls, the West End Kitchen is a friendly sort of place where you’ll enjoy all the vibrancy of central London without the bustle. The West End Kitchen breakfast menu is famous for its proper fry-ups with all the trimmings while the extensive lunch and dinner menus includes a host of meat, fish and veggie dishes, including Italian favourites and Brit home style dinners too. An extensive list of wines and beers – as well as coffee, tea and soft drinks for earlier in proceedings – is available alongside food.

West End Kitchen, Panton St London SW1 Food reasonable (could have been hotter though), and certainly excellent value (£6.95 for 2 courses, £8.45 for 3, house wine £1.50 a glass with 3 courses). Service quick and friendly. Ladies' loo out of action so everyone had to use the one gents. If you want something quick, cheap, tasty and filling then this is a good find for central London. But neither the food nor the ambience is very sophisticated - not really what I use Top Table for.
West End Kitchen has a very nice lunch menu and very economical. It is homemade food
West End Kitchen, Panton St, London: A fabulous, friendly lunchtime experience with first class food and service. We had two courses for £7.95 and could not believe the quality we got for that price! We would never have found it if we hadn't Googled, but now we know it is there we will definitely go again when we are in the area. Truly a hidden gem!
West End Kitchen in London is, at least, cheap; not to br confused with good value for money. And convenient for the Odeon, Panton Street. I'm sorry to say it really wasn't very good. Overcooked funny-tasting spagetti and poor vegetables with the seabass.
