The Tommyfield in Kennington, London is a (not so) hidden gem, with a great atmosphere and really good food. We enjoyed a pre-comedy meal before heading upstairs to a full house and some quality entertainment in form of Always Be Comedy. Highly recommended!

visited on a quiet Sat evening. great decor and good, relaxed atmospehere. Food was good quality and portion sizes fine. I had steak pie which was tasty and others had grilled mackerel (good) and wild boar pie (all vegetables and no boar !). Service was friendly but a bit haphazzard eg one starter didnt arrive, cutlery for main course was forgotten but nothing major or that couldnt be fixed quickly.will visit again.

The Tommyfield in Kennington is normally excellent. However, on this occasion the salad looked very tired and was not particularly attractive in taste either, hence the slightly lower food rating.
