The Barbican Lounge

About The Barbican Lounge

The Barbican Lounge is a hip London eatery in Silk Street with a sublime gourmet menu and stunning views across the city. As one would expect of a restaurant set inside such a prestigious arts venue, this contemporary space is exciting and modern fusing Scandinavian style with natural light, lots of white tiles and with a unique light installation from Beirut designers PS Lab which shows off the idiosyncratic décor of the iconic Barbican building. With dining spaces both inside and out, the Barbican Lounge is a discreet dining destination all year round. Outside RHS Chelsea Flower Show double-winner Kate Gould has created a magical oasis of calm fragrant with lavender and rosemary, and The Barbican Lounge’s tapas style sharing menu features favourites like the maple syrup glazed pork belly with a green apple purée and the sensational coconut rice pudding with mango, mint and fresh coconut salad.

Barbican Lounge was a cool venue with great service. Perfect for a quick bite before a show.

Barbican Lounge, London was just what we were after before going to the cinema at the Barbican centre. Very tasty selection of tapas style food. Excellent prawns and treacle pudding!

Our party of 3 was very pleased with the food on offer here, plus the speed of service was excellent and ensured we had plenty of time to get to the play. Sardines, meatballs, prawns, tortilla particularly memorable. Would definitely return. Wines by the glass very reasonable, the riesling worth a mention.

We had a pre-concert meal at the Barbican Lounge last night. Pluses: friendly professional service, quickly served, and each tasting dish was quite good in itself. Minuses: difficult to order complementing tasting plates - it felt like a tastebud-jarring trip around the world, and that was with only 5 plates between the two of us. It also can't help but feel like the school gym done up with 'mood lighting' for the end of year dance. The bill felt expensive as a result.
