Toptable says about Le Pont de la Tour Bar and Grill

For years, Le Pont de la Tour has been a jewel in the crown of the London restaurant scene. Part of the D&D empire, this stylish riverside restaurant has unparalleled views of one of Britain's most famous landmarks - Tower Bridge - from which it takes its name. Head Chef Lee Bennett has created a menu that transforms time-honoured French recipes into lighter, unfussy dishes suitable for the modern palate. While carnivores can share the Roast English rose veal chop, seafood fans will love the grilled dover sole; seared scallops; and spectacular seafood platter. Wine buffs will be spoilt for choice as the cellar boasts an impressive collection of old and new world wines, including some rare Grand Crus.

Le Pont de la Tour has a great view- if you are seated in the main dining hall. The food in the bar was tasty, but served in small, dainty portions. After three courses and a basket of bread, we were still hungry!

Have been to La Pont de la Tour on the a la carte for dinner, and liked it. This time went for the TT offer for lunch, and wasn't so impressed but it was still good. Salmon starter could do with tweaking, but loved the artichoke tart for main, though it was a little too salty. Chocolate pot wasn't a great dessert though, and cakes tasted bought-in. Still, good VFM: £18 for 3 courses and wine, for such a nice location. Had to remind waitress that we'd booked this though. Try it with TT offer!

Really liked La Pont De La Tour - the ambience was great, the food was nice. The piano & singer gave it a really good feel. My only criticism was that the service was a little slow.
