This Greenwich restaurant and bar has a number of different styles and moods. The restaurant, which offers modern European cooking with an emphasis on French food has a décor which is elegant and understated. The bar has subdued lighting and deep comfy, leather settees and cosy corners. The futuristic South Pole DJ Bar, which is open Thursday to Saturday has dramatic lighting, minimalist decor and pumping sounds, or listen to the superb resident pianist play while dining. Carrying on the musical theme, a resident live band swings jazz, funk and latin sounds every Sunday evening. Those of you who don't fancy a drink in the bar before dinner can head directly into the restaurant from the outside entrance on Greenwich High Road.

The quality of the food and service at the North Pole Piano restaurant was excellent and a very pleasant surprise indeed. The restaurant was very quiet which is a shame as this place deserves to be rocking! All 4 of us had different meals and we all enjoyed them immensely, my salmon was cooked perfectly and had deliciously tasty accompaniments. There was a small glitch in that the 50% offer was not included on the bill initially though this was corrected swiftly and without question.
Sadly the North Pole Piano didnt live up to its name as there was no pianoman playing on the night I went, however the food was enjoyable & at a good cost if you use the 50% off promo. Gents toilet had not hot water but the ladies did.

North Pole is a lovely restaurant with great food, this is the 5th or 6th time we have been and we will keep going back. Service has improved since our last visit and is much friendlier now. Very pricey so would only go with the 50% off deal but the food is gorgeous! The piano music started quite late, so we didn't get much of it, but it creates a lovely romantic atmosphere which was only slightly disturbed by the noisy birthday party next door! Wouldn't recommend the 'club' downstairs though!
Three of us enjoyed dinner at North Pole Piano restaurant on Thursday night. Food good, service just right - attentive but not intrusive. Russell Brand lookalike piano player added to ambience and pitched volume just right, we didn't have to listen to conversations at other tables but we could chat without raising voices. Definitely would recommend.
