About Saf Restaurant & Bar

Saf restaurant and bar's Kensington branch has brought its signature healthy and gourmet dining experience to west London. Only minutes away from High Street Kensington tube station, this hip little restaurant is set on the first floor of the Whole Foods market inside the historic Barkers Building with its distinctive floor to ceiling windows bathing the venue in natural light. Scandinavian in style, the dining room is resplendent in blond wood with citrus coloured accents, and this minimalist space provides an inviting and intimate dining experience amongst the animated store atmosphere. Saf has received plenty of critical acclaim including being named London's Best Vegetarian Restaurant of 2010 by the London Evening Standard, and its plant-based menu is complemented by fresh cocktails, rare teas and organic wines. With clients like Stella McCartney and Zaha Hadid on board, Saf is a rising star on the Kensington dining scene.

Pleasant enough meal at Saf, although atmosphere was somewhat lacking on a Saturday evening as the restaurant is in the food hall of the shop. Food was nice enough and worth a go if you are interested in raw food (and a good option for vegans) - however be warned it is quite expensive for what it is, starters were around £8 and drinks (juices/milkshakes) £5-6 each - total bill came to over £40 pp for quite a modest meal with 1-2 drinks.

Saf Kensington. The food is lovely, fresh and vegetarian with a bias towards the raw and barely cooked so it feels really healthy but tasty and filling. However it's not cheap. Given that the restaurant is situated on the first floor of a whole food market, the ambience is one of shopping mall rather than restaurant and the lavatories are shared with all the first floor establishments. It made a lovely venue for a Sunday lunch.

SAF Kensignton in London. I love this place. The food is super healthy and the wait staff is very friendly. Try the smoked tofu salad. The freshly squeezed juices are good too, but quite pricey. If you want a fresh, healthy, informal meal, we highly recommend this restaurant.
