Noura Mayfair Restaurant and Lounge

About Noura Mayfair Restaurant and Lounge

Noura’s new look does a classy job of upholding the award-winning London chain’s reputation for sleek spaces. The minimalist bistro-style restaurant hides a sumptuous surprise: downstairs lies a lounge bar where a back-lit marble bar is reflected in the regal mirror-wall opposite, and gold recesses glitter in the royal purple walls. Back upstairs, the largely traditional features lots of mouthwatering mezze and grilled meats. Carnivore and omnivore, everyone loves the fattoush salad.

An extensive wine list features some corking Lebanese wines, and soft-spoken staffs are a joy to be served by.

The nice room shown on the internet was closed and we were seated in the room upstairs which ambience is poor. We went on a Friday and expected belly dancers as promised on the homepage - but we have not seen any. The food was mediocre but pricy. We will not go back.

After a film at the Curzon Mayfair, the Lebanese Noura is perfectly situated - across the road. Their Lebanese beer had been so popular it was sold out, so we had Mexican. We shared several mezzes: lebanese sausages, crispy lebanese bread filled with spicey minced lamb, fava beans in tomatoes, spicey potatoes, and hummous. They were all tasty; service was helpful, and the atmosphere just a tad formal. Sweets were good too.

Fresh food, slick surroundings and good service - are the hallmarks of Noura, a modern bright Lebaneese restaurant. Good for a client lunch, but too pricy for a casual lunch.

excellent food, but service was a tad on the apathetic side. nevertheless, would recommend for the food alone.

The restaurant was pleasant although the seats were a bit too close to the neighbours. The food was tasty but the mezze portions were quite small as they were put on one plate rather than in separate bowls. The food was not very fresh, and a bit cold.
