You've probably heard of Noura, an award-winning Lebanese brasserie chain well liked for its style, service, design and wonderful food. Formerly known as Chintamanti, and one of four London Nouras (there are more in Paris), Noura Central is on the corner of Jermyn Street and Regent Street. All Nouras have prestigious addresses, you see. Prices aren't cheap, but not all plush surroundings are so beautifully designed. Service is faultless, and the excellent food is supported by an outstanding international wine and champagne list, one of the biggest in London. Start with cold or hot meze, followed perhaps by chicken chawarma served between two pieces of traditional bread fresh from the oven at the centre of the room. The crowd crosses all ages and nationalities.

Noura Central, 122 Jermyn Street. Lunch in all honesty was very disappointing. Food was bland & extremely overpriced and didnt taste particularly fresh and £20 for what is effectively a few cubes of grilled chicken and plain rise is excessive. Location was very quiet and lacked atmosphere for a lunchtime, assume its more lively in the evening. one brightspot was service was very good
Noura Central, London - pressed for time, we didn't have a full dinner. However, we did have some lovely meze (the moutabbal is one of the nicest I've ever eaten) and a glass of wine (really very drinkable house red). Have eaten at Noura Belgravia when there was time for a main course too and the food there was great. The restaurant is not as flash as it looks on the website, and that's a good thing. Comfortable and relaxed setting.
As ever, the service was knowledgable, courteous and swift. Noticed that the free basket of delicious fresh vegetables was absent from tables-a sign of harder times? Foood outstanding, although the tsatziki was too runny.
Noura Central in London offers good food, good service = an enjoyable evening.
Food of very average quality for the prices charged. There are much better value top quality restaurants in London than this I would not hurry back
