White table-cloths, photos of Italian actors on the wall and the lighting provide pleasant ambience. However the food was not very good. The scallops were over-cooked and the fillet steak (although medium- rare as requested) was chewy, rather than melting in the mouth. The main course was presented like a cheap diner might rather than the decent restaurant suggested by first impression. The wine was good and the patron and staff very pleasant. So nice restaurant, a pity about the 2nd rate foo
Once again Nuovi Sapori came up trumps on a Saturday night. The lamb shanks closely nudged out the rack of lamb as dish of the day, despite a strong showing by salmon with ginger. Excellent value, charming service.
Second time visiting here, and it was as good an experience as the first. Service was great, if anything a little over-zeaous at times (a minor complaint). food is hearty and tasty and prices are very reasonable. A lovely little venue for a peaceful, simple family meal or romantic dinner.
I was a bit nervous when we entered Nuovi Sapori as it was very quiet but it soon filled up. Menu was very varied and lots of delicious sounding dishes to choose from! I had Scallops to start which were delicious, but slightly overdone. My sea bass main with risotto was delicious. My dining partner had fillet beef medallions for main which were beautiful. House wine reasonably priced and very tasty. Staff friendly. Will definitely return for nights when you want a nice, easy, delicious meal.
We have not been to Nuovi Sapori for 18months and felt that it was not as good this time. Food this time was a bit mixed. Calamari was a bit rubbery and some pastas good but some tasted as if they had been standing for a while. Food is good value but overall experience not as good as hoped.
