Campbell Works
ExhibitionRecurring event
Originally one of many warehouses comprising the Stoke Newington Brewery, Campbell Works has been used as a sweatshop, a venue for raves and a storage space. Since taking the building on in 1997, artists Neil Taylor and Harriet Murray have systematically re-ordered the internal membrane creating an opportunity for dynamic juxtaposition of people, projects and space. By questioning assumptions of the function and politics of space and approaches to culture, Neil Taylor and Harriet Murray's artistic practice encompasses an eclectic attitude to cross disciplinary projects, placing value on the experience, process, risk taking and the idea of being open to failure. Along with the exhibition programme and educational projects, the development of the website and newsletter are fundamental to the evolution of the organisation.
