Been to Spaghetti House in Goodge Street a few times, always an enjoyable meal with great friendly service!
The food was delicious with quite the best Lasagne ever, ever! You pay West End prices, which is to be expected given the restaurant's location off Tottenham Court Road but you will get good quality food. There were three of us and our bill came to £60 (with tip) for two courses each, table water and just one of us had a glass of wine. The toilet is seriously in need of updating, waiting service was a little on the slow side, even though there were only five customers in total for an early pre-show dinner, but we were greeted and served with a smile throughout. I would visit again just for the lasagne, oh and the delicious whitebait and calamari starters, served in mock newspaper in little tin buckets. A nice touch.
The original Spaghetti House in Googe St. I first went there about 35 years ago and it hasn't changed. The good news is that it's a constant. The bad news is that it really needs a make over - particularly the toilets. The food and service were good as always and very good value for money.
Spaghetti House on Goodge Street is lacking in atmosphere for a lunchtime meal but their food is tasty and comes in good sized portions. Service is good, but overall it's perhaps overpriced for the kind of place it is. I wouldn't rush back but wouldn't tell anyone to avoid it either.
Good for large groups, dealt with an on the day booking well. All food for 12 people came out at the same time and was nice. Not fantastic but good enough for a tastey meal. Well prepared venue. Very polite.
